Originally Il Fornaio started in the Lombardy region of Italy in 1972. A family of architect’s developed the concept and redesigned the art of making and selling Italian Authentic breads. This family then sold the concept of Il Fornaio to bakers in order to save the dying trade of the bakery profession in Milano, which was been hit by larger industrialized bakeries. From here the concept was adapted and exported to America. Il Fornaio is internationally recognized and developed into large scaled bakeries and restaurants and coffee, deli all around the world.
18 years ago Il Fornaio Franchise Concept was introduced to Dublin, Ireland. It is a family run bakery, restaurant and café serving authentic Italian food. Currently in Ireland there are 2 locations Raheny Dublin 5 and IFSC Dublin 1, College Green, Dublin 1, and our newest addition in Liffey street D.1. Il Fornaio can also be found worldwide from Sydney, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Las Vegas, Washington, Oregon, Denver, Switzerland, Rome, Milano, Firenze .
